Each December the men host a pancake breakfast and visit form Santa Claus. The men prepare and serve a sit down breakfast for all, and the children get to visit with Santa and have their picture taken. The event is complete with carolers, Reindeer Clint, Rudolph and games of skill and chance. This is the top fundraiser for the youth scholarship funds. This is a great opportunity to serve the church and bring smiles to hundreds of children! This event is open to the whole community, bring your friends and family.
Children's Ministry
On at least two Sundays during the summer months, the men take over teaching the children of our church in Sunday School. This enables the regular volunteer teachers to take the day off, and it enables the men of our church to serve God while being a daddy to our children. The children are excited and learn that God has called men to be involved and lead our children in His way.
Easter Egg Hunt
The men help support the Easter Egg Hunt by designing and building skill games and games of chance for the children to play. At the event, we run the games and pass out prizes.
Sports and Recreation
Sports and recreation is second only to food when it comes to engaging men. We are thrilled to support the Sports and Recreation ministry by running the concession stand for eight weeks during the Spring Upward Basketball League and by helping with the Annual Fishing Derby and Church Picnic. At the Upward stand, we practice our culinary skills at short order cooking and we give treats to any child who can recite a bible verse.
